Meet Our Team

Tania Quintero Design About

MY CAREER

Bay Area born and raised, I’m the daughter of two wonderfully hard working El Salvadorian parents. Like them, I am driven to succeed and I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from San Francisco State University. While in school I began managing my own projects. At the time I was working for the Expo Design Center where I sold, designed and managed clients. I was promoted to Senior Designer and soon became ready for my next challenge, expanding my architectural knowledge. At a local firm I learned the fine art of architectural design and planning, and then to round out my career, I took a position at a notable local design/build firm where I received construction management training. After 20+ years of Interior Designing I can say I’ve learned quite a lot about the different facets of my job and my wonderful architecture, contractor and real estate agent partners

Now, I enjoy taking on projects as a freelancer. I am also co-owner of a wonderful cabinetry company in Lafayette, CA Premier Kitchens. The flexibility of my career allows me to work with a variety of client projects across the Bay Area from color consultation requests to home interior designs. The best part is, I have more time to do the most important job of all-being the best mom I can be.

NICE TO MEET YOU!

My name is Tania, and most people say that I have a soft smile, quiet demeanor, and I’m easily approachable. I’m also a bit of a perfectionist and surprisingly easy going.  I like my clients to feel comfortable with me right away. I value any time a client shares with me and I enjoy listening to their insights and vision. I love to decorate a home just as much as I like to draw computerized layouts and specify what should go where in a remodel or build. I’m extremely detailed and won’t stop until I get everything just right.

Have a contractor? I am more than happy to work directly with them. I have experience in construction management and am able to speak their language to make for an easy joint project.

OUTSIDE OF WORK

When not looking up the latest design trends or sampling new tile patterns and colors, you can find me at home having fun with my 2 kids and husband. My career, much like my home, revolves around family and putting their needs first. I enjoy cooking and teaching my kids about their beautiful El Salvadorean and Puerto Rican (that’s my husband’s background) heritage. I like to unwind with a good glass of wine, and enjoy outdoor pursuits, whether they be camping, traveling or just cranking up the tunes in a comfortable patio chair. I’m a pretty casual person and enjoy socializing whenever possible.

About 5 years ago, Engthia put all her experience together and took a job in what she liked best and truly wanted to focus her creative energies on- kitchens. After 20 years in the industry Engthia still truly enjoys her job.

“ I just love the creativity and seeing the transformation of what was there before and how the refreshed version brings such joy to my clients.”
